Great to see so many 'Irish' pros riding this race which starts tomorrow. Just to wish all of them the best of luck.

Nick Roche is leading his Ag2R squad
Philip Deignan will be there with his new UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling team and the An Post - Sean Kelly squad featuring Mark Cassidy, Conor McConvey and Ronan McLaughlin.

    provisional start list

Looks like Tony Martin will be the man to beat again as the last stage is a 25km TT.

See Nico Roche going well in Algarve. 5th on yesterdays slight uphill finish. Think thats him behind winner Gianni Meersman.

An Post Sean Kelly team seem to be in this event as well.

    19th team (of 20) after stage 1.

It was nice when I opened RTÉ sport this morning and the first headline I saw was Nico's head and that he had finished 5th
