BBL Law and Business- Teaching?

Hi so i'm in 6th year at the moment and BBL Law and Business in NUI Maynooth is my number one. I have researched the degree and truly believe it is the one for me. I've attended the Open Day in November and loved the college, students and atmosphere in general.

I'd like to choose a degree which would allow me to keep my options open after I qualify. I'm just wondering can anyone help me with my query. My School is currently in between Career Guidance Teachers so I don't really know who else to ask.

Would this degree allow you to go into teaching Business Studies after a HDIP or would I have to do a different degree after I qualify? My main interest is Law but I would like the chance to diversify into a different career choice if at all possible.

Thanks for any replies received in advance, I truly appreciate it!

    Thanks :)

I think I remember reading on here before that business through arts doesn't qualify you to teach it. However, that was a few years ago now so things may be different. I recommend emailing the department, and possibly the Teaching Council to see what the story is :) sometimes a degree can't be accredited until the first set of students graduate, so that could be the situation with this, but best to ask the experts.

The business has recently been accredited by the Teaching Council.
I saw it yesterday in a copy of the "University News", which I'll have a look for online. If I find it, I'll come back and edit.
But yeah, it's a valid teaching subject.

Found the link., it's on page 3
