Why not just post the bookie on the public forum FFS

Was there really a need to add FFS ???

    Avantha:

Even though he missed the cut last week, Derksen showed some form in his second round. Hoping he can bring that to India where he performed well last year. 66/1 e/w both for the tourney and R1 leader

    Northern Trust:

Baddeley e/w @ 33/1 due to course and current form

K Stanley e/w @ 45/1 for loyalty and obvious form reasons

US all the way this week -

    Dustin Johnson @ 22/1

    Sergio Garcia @ 25/1

    Aaron Baddeley @ 30/1

    Padraig Harrington @ 50/1

    Probably not.

Just don't see why the need for secrecy. Either a bookie is laying 6 places or they're not.

I've already backed Harrington 5 places so I'm not going in again but if I'm not checking somewhere that could be offering better odds/place terms then it would be nice to know

If you want to keep the info for you and your mates then fair enough

Really like the look of Padraig for this. Odds are gone now though, Bet365 are the highest

Na at 40 to 1 worth a few quid ew and i will be trying to back JB Holmes,Couples and Kevin Stadler in match bets as all of the above have good course form.Iwill be looking how bookmakers have them matched and if theres a bit of value i will have a decent bet.

First time backing him in a couple of years, Ryder Cup match betting aside. Like in fairness to him, he has finished in the Top 10 3 times in his last 5 tournaments. Back 9 on Saturday really cost him a chance of finishing in the top 5 if not higher, finished in 7th in the end. Needs to play well to get into the WGC event at Doral next week as well. Worth chancing I feel, and could possibly bring in E/W money.

Kyle Stanley to be leader after round 1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 313 ✭✭frat

Ramsay/Havret in Europe and Johnson/Harrington in the States. All e/w with 4doubles across the lot

I've never won a golf bet before(small skakes for interest) so all backers of Baddeley,Stanley and Keegan Bradley can kiss their money goodbye:)

after 9 holes of round 2 big phil is 13/8 a bit short

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭abouttobebanned

Some hole out by Phil to take him to -7.

My picks are 1-2 in america...very happy with that. Loves having an interest for the weekend. My euro pick is still in with a shout, only 3 shots off the leader.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,200 ✭✭✭jjll

cant see luke delivering a blow this weekend as he is missing 6ft for birds which you cant on this course oh well to next week

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭heavyballs

I think Bill Hass @16/1 is some price, only 2 shots back,

Just backed Hass @18/1 and Peterson @12/1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭abouttobebanned

Lot of players in with a shout. Phil is too short but it will be interesting to see how keegan and Bryce get on in his group. 40 wins to his name it's going to take a special performance from someone to beat him to the line. (or an implosion from him of course)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,997 ✭✭✭Degag

Will be watching tonight so have gone for Perez (16/1 - 1 shot back) and Lyle (80/1) for a bit of interest.

What a finish in regulation play from Mickelson and Bradley! Both birdie 18 to get into a playoff with Haas.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Haas makes a bomb, 40 odd feet on 10 for birdie!

    Haas Wins.

Easy to say in hindsight. In reality, haas was gifted that tournament.

    Huh ?
    Seriously ?

Who in their right mind would bet on Harrington, what form has he shown over the last while (long while!).
Even at 100/1 it's just a dumb bet.

    That's not debatable...it's fact !

That's like putting money on Greece to be in profit in 2013, i.e. it just won't happen!

yeah, but i did say it yesterday before a ball was struck, they got the price wrong

Actually, he had two top 10 finishes in his three starts this year, and was about to feature on a course where he has had success in the past.

And no its not a fact. Or shall I direct you to the Oxford English dictionary.

And no it is not like putting money on Greece to be in profit ( whatever that means ) in 2013.

Next time don't ridicule the selections of others, please.

They didn't get the price wrong. He was 5 points bigger on betfair and traded about 30 points bigger than that in running.

It was a case of everyone else blowing it and Haas not blowing it as bad as them. You're making out like he was a steal at the price that he was.

he was 2 shots behind,YES he was a steal at the price, how in gods name can you not just admit it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭abouttobebanned

Because a 40 time winner was sharing the lead with the rookie of the year. And as well as Bill Haas, there were other top players within 1 and two shots...Dustin Johnson, Jonathan Byrd, Aaron Baddeley, Bubba Watson. He wasn't a steal at that price, and im sure you were starting to think the same after he bogeyed 12 and 13. His price was about right...marginally short in my opinion.

Last week aside, did he not finish in the top 10 3 times in his last 5 tournaments? I for one am not gonna lose sleep over a couple of euro E/W bet in which I was hoping for him to continue his recent form and win me E/W money at a push when there was foundation to it!/

I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to discuss this with you considering you're clear dislike (to put it mildly) of Harrington going from the golf forum.

Anyway, I don't see yourself posting any golf bets. Do you even bet or have you just taken you're agenda from one forum to the other for the sake of it? As I said, easy to talk and belittle people's selections post-event.
