economical diesel saloon ?

    Hi guys I always appreciate any advice you give me here , I am thinking about getting a new car , I'm looking for something that's not too hard on tax , around 2 litre diesel family car , that's economical and looks good aswell !
    my budget is about 3 to 4 k had a look around donedeal but not sure exactly what kind of car I'm looking for , any suggestions please ?

    Alfa romeo 156 JtDM, beautiful car, reliable too.

    On the flip side a Ford Mondeo TDDi would probably fit the bill, not the prettiest but probably the most capable.
