    Hi guys.

I have a polo atm that my mother signed over to me, its her spare.

I would love to get a fiesta though because most of my lessons have been done in one. (a 00 one..)

I love the old one my instructor has but could you tell me if the 03 ones are just as good..?

My sister has a 4 year old 2002 to 2009 run out model Fiesta for the last 2 years and there hasn't been one issue with it. Plenty of room on the inside, 1.25 litre is nippy enough for it's size and it's decent on fuel. Only thing I don't like about it is the high driving position which all Fords of that era seem to suffer from.

Would definately recommend one but if buying a 2002/2003 newer type model then avoid the old 1.3 litre engine carried over from the old model and is very old and unrefined. It was sold mostly in the basic LX models. The newer 1.25 litre engine is way better and was sold in the Zetec and Steel models.

Thank you! My friend has one of those and I love it. The high seating would benefit me as im 5foot nuttin.. I'll look into that. Hoping when college finishes and im working full time over the summer I can afford it!

If you can stretch to a 04 or newer one then try and get the Fiesta Steel model. They had a nice spec including sunroof, front fog lights and alloy wheels. Some of them had air con too.

I have an 03, 1.3l fiesta. Its teh basic model but its a great litttle car, the only problem I ever had with it was one of teh ignition coils went on it a few thousand miles ago. Also teh water pump went at about 60,000 miles. Its not too bad on petrol, I get roughly 400 miles per tank doing motorway driving about 350ish with intermittent use. There's also a fair bit of pole in the engine for teh size of it.
