    Paphos or Larnaca?
Can't get to either directly from Dublin, as far as I know, without going through a travel agent who will absolutely fleece you. Cheapest we were offered a couple of years ago was about €500 each flight only, ended up booking it ourselves for less than half that via the UK.

A few of the UK charter flights (Thomson and the like) go direct from Belfast during the summer months, you can book flight only direct with them, often quite reasonable.

Other than that, try looking at Manchester/Gatwick/Stansted and an Easyjet connection - matching the times up is the tricky bit. I looked recently and midweek found connecting flights for Stansted outbound/Gatwick on the return. In the past I've gone through Manchester both ways.

Both BA and Cyprus Airways also fly from London, they can occasionally be cheap but usually a fair bit dearer. I've found Cyprus Airways pretty poor in the past, I'd actually prefer Easyjet at this stage.

Another option might be Ryanair, they fly to both Paphos and Larnaca to a number of European cities, but again it's finding a connecting flight that's the problem.

I also got a dirt cheap flight back from Paphos once with Jetairfly to Brussels, and then Ryanair on to Dublin, but that involved getting from Brussels airport out to Charleroi, if I was doing it again I'd probably pay the extra to get Aer Lingus for the second leg.

€250ish return with Lufthansa, connecting in Frankfurt. So it can be done.

At that price you would need free accommodation when you get there.:D

OP I don't think you are looking hard enough, a couple of minutes poking around the LH site got me this itinerary for €224
    06:45Dublin 09:55Frankfurt
    10:55Frankfurt 15:35Larnaca

    03:25Larnaca 06:35Frankfurt
    10:05Frankfurt 11:10Dublin

This is for May, I'm sure it'd probably be pricier in the Summer, nonetheless it's most definitely feasible and in well under '15hrs'.

Also have a look and see which airlines serve Larnaca and see if you can get anything from the airlines sites directly, much handier if you know the routing you are trying to find:
