Hi, Company was taken over by another company, still on old contract and terms and conditions. For bank holidays wording is might have to be worked in "exceptional circumstances". I haven't worked a bank holiday in 7 years on this contract. As I've been told my terms and conditions and status remains can new company now…

Hi,

Company was taken over by another company, still on old contract and terms and conditions. For bank holidays wording is might have to be worked in "exceptional circumstances". I haven't worked a bank holiday in 7 years on this contract. As I've been told my terms and conditions and status remains can new company now make me work bank holidays?

Yep - in exceptional circumstances, whatever that may mean having regard to your job, your contract and the needs of the business you work for.
