    Hi dceire,
I would stay far away from Bush, pure muck in my experience of owning one. I really like your second choice, I recently purchased an LG 32 inch online and I'm very happy with it.

Here are the websites I use for tvs etc:
www.amazon.co.uk (where I got my last tv)
    www.pixmania.ie
    www.expansys.ie
    http://www.direct-tvs.co.uk/

I like the look of the 'Samsung UE22D5003 22 Inch Freeview LED TV' on directtvs. I don't know if this is a consideration for you but the reason I went with the LG was because in the lower price range it seems to be the only one offering decent USB playback (supporting numerous formats).

The one you have chosen from play.com looks very nice for the price, I've been doing a bit of searching now and for that price you're not really going to do any better in my opinion. Here's the link to LG's own website for that particular model:

    http://www.lg.com/uk/it-products/monitors/LG-tv-monitor-M2350D.jsp

That's just my 2 cents worth, hope it was of some help.

    Thanks a lot Moocawn.

I wasn't too keen on the Bush one but the price sucked me in.

I'm pretty much ready to buy the LG on play.com but I just want to be sure that it'll support Saorview without the need for an additional box. This is what the site says:
Enjoy real viewing pleasure with full HDTV through M50D’s built-in DTV tuner that supports MPEG4, DVBC, DVBT, and other digital TV broadcasting standard signals!
(Freeview HD channels require connection to external device

Nope, as far as I'm aware it's no good for saorview, sorry I missed that. The Samsung one I mentioned above is definitely saorview approved:

Samsung UE22D5003 22 Inch Freeview LED TV

I think it's a good bet to be honest, no point getting the LG after that revelation!

Yea, that Samsung looks very appealing now.

This Panasonic 24" looks pretty decent; it'd probably end up around the €290 mark on direct-tvs though. No Panasonics are listed on the Saorview website but it supports Freeview HD; I read somewhere that this will enable a TV to pick up Saorview. Is this actually the case?

What's your max budget? Are you definitely set on a 22" to 26" or is that only based on price? I'll have a look around on that Panasonic and see if it does do Saorview, I'm no export but I know that a lot of the UK Freeview tvs won't decode for Saorview. If you're heading for the €300 mark like the one you showed me above then this is what I bought recently:

but again, I don't know if you're set on size/budget?

I need a 22" to 26" from a practical standpoint; anything bigger just won't fit where i want to put it. I want to spend €250 or less but if I'm struggling to find anything decent in that bracket I would spend a little more.

How does that LG you bought work with Saorview, through a set-top box?
