Thought I'd start a thread on this as it appears everywhere..
you can bitch about bad commentary (such as Nick Faldo and Monty), and poor coverage (not showing PH enough) etc etc....

    Interesting short article here....

CBS Sports’ final-round coverage of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Sunday, which saw Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods paired together with Mickelson firing a 64 to win his fourth Pebble Beach title, delivered the highest rating for the final round at Pebble Beach in 15 years (5.8/13; Feb. 2, 1997) with an average overnight household rating/share of 5.1/10, up 96 percent from last year’s 2.6/6 in the metered markets. In 1997, Mark O’Meara won the last of his five titles at Pebble Beach, outdueling Tiger Woods and David Duval in the final round.
    Sunday’s final-round rating peaked at a 5.7/11 (5:30-6 p.m. ET).
CBS Sports’ third-round coverage of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Saturday earned an average overnight household rating/share of 2.8/6, up 56 percent from last year’s third round 1.8/4 in the metered markets.

It was a great final round in fairness, I nearly fell off my chair when they had the gap in coverage from 7.30 - 8. Mickelson playing his best is a joy to watch, although it doesn't happen very often these days.

Agree with this. It made up for the shocking coverage for the first three days. I was so impressed with the way he manufactured a stress free birdie on the 18th. 4-iron, 4-iron, wedge I believe. Bones deserves an extra bonus for the work he did on the tee.

Was cool to hear the conversation between Phil and Bones on 18th tee.

Watched last nights whole after round press conference with Phil this morning, he spoke about many interesting things and included the fact he working with a new or maybe his 1st mind coach,he wouldn't elaborate only to say he has a problem focusing for all of a round
He said he only lost focus over one approach shot yesterday but saved it with a putt
He also said Bones and himself are really working hard at the moment and on 14th (par5) even though he was leading Bones was pushing him hard to make another birdie which he did
Went on about him v tiger and how the press keep telling him he's beating tiger in the last few meetings but he was pretty much spanked everything before these last few years so its about the bigger picture
Also that from playing with tiger he says tiger will win soon as hes playing well and banging it out there with a little fade as he did in years gone by.
He said in previous times you were waiting for the big hook to come off the tee but it seems to be gone and as he was shooting poor scores before this weekend himself he sees tiger winning soon
    Great interview very humble man

    Ye, was great to watch.

I think Michelson in hindsight would have preferred if Tiger played really well and he had still beaten him. I bet he'd swap the 9 shot margin for a Tiger blazing on all cylinders only for Phil to birdie the last to pip him by a shot. Still great golf though, I don't think Tiger's far off winning.
