After some searching the web i found that my modem thompson twg870 need a static ip to port forward.. i did that and it still not working so ill post what exactly i did so i may be able to give more info.

.port forwarded 25565 to static ip address
.port forwarded 25565 to normal ip address(multiple ways and times)
.turned off all firewalls and anti virus
    .put exemptions into firewall
.turned on Upnp setting on router
.have used simple port forwarding and port checker
. it says my ports are all open and working i just dont get whats wrong even after all that i still get

    . Internalexception:Java.netSocketException:Connection Reset

this is starting to bug me now

Have you tried downloading the game again? A clean install is probably your best bet at the moment. None of the port forwarding stuff is important joining other servers, only if you're setting up your own. I used to get that error every now and then too but with the amount of crashing I usually download a clean version every few weeks anyway :)

You shouldn't have updated, any server running on bukkit will not update the server until bukkit is updated for MC 1.2, you need to downgrade back to 1.1 to play on servers or find a 1.2 vanilla server or play single player 1.2 until bukkit is updated for servers to use.

Rule number 1, always keep a separate backup of your minecraft install so if you accidentally upgrade or mess your game up with mods you can reload it easily.

You'll have to search online for a "how to downgrade minecraft" fix.

    Gargo.
