Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a holiday for myself, my husband and our baby who will be 15 months this summer. We are not interested in a package beach holiday. Before we had our baby we liked to travel independently and move from place to place, go hiking and travel to off the beaten track places. We were thinking somewhere in Europe, perhaps the Alps, where we could still hike (we have a baby sling for walking) and the weather won't be too hot. We will have to stay put in one base as it's too much trouble moving with a baby now. Can anyone recommend a suitable base for us? Or if anyone has made such a trip I'd love to hear form you. Thanks.
Hi, after doing some research has anyone travelled to Bavaria, thinking about flying into Munich, visiting Salzburg and basing ourselves in one of the lake villages in that area. Has anyone been here?

Am in the same boat with 2 smalls to bring this time. For something different and family friendly, I think the uk is a brilliant option, particularly Devon and Cornwall.

Hi jennyrose, I've booked a holiday to Germany, flying into Munich, renting a car and an apartment in the Alps and touring around from there. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for another year.
