Happens me a lot, just lying as per normal as ya do fast asleep, next thing ....... BANGGGGGG - it's like a gun-shot went off!! Jump-sit?! (Is jump-sit even a word?!) bolt upright in bed eyes wide open in total shock wide-awake, terrified I'm gonna fall off fall out of or fall into something, it's so scary!!:eek::) No idea if it's to do with dreaming, but this happens me loads of times! I don't remember a lot of dreams I have to say, sometimes I do but mostly I don't remember them. Anyone else like that?

Get it when I'm really stressed or over-tired.

As a child I was told that if you keep falling and don't wake up you'd die

Heard before that the jump you get while falling asleep is to do with a temperature (or pressure) change in your body. Citation needed.

I've slept-walked a few times, usually with embarrassing results. Mostly after a night of drinking too.

My sister used to sleep walk very badly. It got worse when she was anxious or stressed. It used to get so bad that when my parents were going to be away she came to stay with me.

She also attacked her bf one night while asleep and scraped his neck quite badly... they weren't together all that long either so was a bit embarrassing for her.....

When she was a kid she also used to get Night Terrors which are quite frightening to witness....

Actually I had forgotten I had posted here, am only on this Forum as don't know if others are up at this hour to chat to ....... :( Nobody seems to be in the Puzzles Forum .... :( But anyways I don't Sleep-walk, don't think I Sleep-talk, One of my Siblings Sleepwalks badly alright, they would actually just go off somewhere like no bother to them! But you're not supposed to engage with them or so have been told, but turn them around and push them back in the right direction.

Actually now that I think of it, - youngest sibling does sleep-talk ~a lot,~ quite frequently too it has to be said!! When you hear him do it, it sounds exactly like Playground banter (he's not being bullied or anything b.t.w., we are quite sure of that, well as sure as can be,) but that's exactly what it sounds like when ya hear him, just a load of kids voices in a Playground!! That's what he sounds like! Hhmmm so that is a couple of things, maybe it's to do with family / genes stuff I don't know ......

But it's pure mad though lol! Just as I fall I wake/jump up lol! :D Co-incidentally, I just stumbled across this type of thing on the Net this Evening, I think it's called "Hypno-jerking?!" Apparently it's the same sensation a person goes through right before they die! You would often hear of people in a coma reflexing, maybe that is something similar.

There used to be this Documentary on BBC or some channel that followed peoples sleep patterns and behaviours and it was unbelievable stuff to watch. The thrashing about the bed they did was un-real!!! Oh actually it was called Sleep Clinic I think or was done for Sleep Clinic.

Lately I have been waking up tears streaming down my face, don't remember why. Have great feeling of sadness. Makes me not want to sleep. As far as I know I don't talk or walk in my sleep. I'm not sad when I'm awake. Can't figure it out.

Sleep paralysis/Night terrors. Loud noises/Seeing things that aren't there and not being able to move. Awful stuff! I did the jump-sit thing the other night aswell. Still weird about going to sleep. (Hence why it's 07:38am and I'm still awake from yesterday)

My boyfriend is always sleep walking and talking. He would have full on conversations with me while still being asleep about bugs being on the bed, him 'defeating the men'..No idea what men..And so much other stuff. He told me he woke up one night getting into the shower. There was also another time he woke up at the kitchen table after pouring himself a brandy in his sleep at 6am!

And for myself, I don't think I usually talk or do anything in my sleep but apparently the other night I was making noises and shaking my head as if I was motor boating someone? Ha ha! Although I tend to 'jump-sit' a lot!

Used to sleep walk when I was very young 9/10 but haven't in years as far as I know. Haven't thought about it at all, but I am now and realising I sleep naked in a house share :pac: I have the fear.

Got an app for my phone a few weeks ago that records any noise I make in my sleep. Haven't talked at all in my sleep since I got it, I do move and toss a lot though.

I'm a weird dreamer though, as in I have unbelievably weird and epic dreams and I remember them in detail everyday, rarely forget. Started having a dream about someone I didn't want to dream about this morning so I woke myself up and was a bit afraid to get back to sleep! I do that sometimes!
