    It looks like the picture is de-saturated or given a vintage faded film look

    second image has some selective toning but they are both desaturated a bit.

    As the lads have said desaturation seems to be the main technique employed there.

    @PCPhoto.....have a quick question for you mate on a separate note but your inbox is full :)

    Looks like the saturation is lowered, and there's a pink overlay applied?

    They look pinkish to me anyway. Whatever programme you're using op, try adding a new layer, pasting a big pink rectangle over the image, and then changing the layer mode to overlay (you may need to reduce the transparency, too).


    I'm sure you can get pink by doing a google search for 'pink screen' or something to that effect.
