Need a new remote control for UPC box

    The remote I got from UPC is almost broken - the bottom half of the remote only works intermittently, so I can change channels but can't record, pause or play with any reliability!

    Will any cheapo universal RC work with the silver UPC Digital+ box?

    Ring UPC and they will send you out a new one they will charge you 25e but if you return old broken remote they credit your account 25e so basically remote is free then

    Thanks. I did that before with an older control/digibox. But they wanted the broken one before they'd send a replacement. Which left me without any remote control for a week.

    They will defo send a replacement 1st my mam had to do same thing not so long ago

    I'd still be interested in knowing if I can buy an alternative RC to control my UPC box (and Samsung series 5000 TV)
