    Hi all,

    I have question...

I am thinking about buying a classic car (1980) which is bein modified.
Basicly it is a wrangler kit on an Daihatsu chassis.
I know this modification has been done years ago and the car still has mot. Yes, it is currently registered in the UK.

Now I am wondering if I would get a problem with VRT as the car is not in the original condition anymore.
And what about the insurace? Do they have an eye on that?

    Thanks for your help.

What you have to be aware of is
If the V5 document has been changed to the current details , you should have no problems in registering it here. If on the other hand the V5 says that the car is -- AS WAS -- there will be problems. Kit car insurance is much easier to get now. Check in with the Lads on IKCC.

    Thanks mounti!

I signed up at IKCC and waiting for approval from Admin.
Might be the better forum for that kind of questions. If not...

Acutally I found out that the car is not a kit but factoy build. Might make things easier again, hopefully... This car is being build 50 times in total.
Maybe the lads in the other forum know more about that specific :)

Hopefully I will find an insurance. Even the manufacturer (Eagle) is not listed in any insurance side for quotes. Gonna ring them tomorrow.
