Hey guys, I was thinking of getting back into swimming, I used to do it a lot when I was younger and now that im back in college I'd like to get back into swimming on a routine basis. I'm based in South Dublin just along the red line of the luas, can anyone recommend a pool with a decent price?

To be honest, you can't beat Ben Dunne if you get another 3 people to sign with you. For 3 people its 540euro so works out at 175 each for the year.

Or you could try Markievicz Swimming pool near Pearse st. I know a few lads & ladies (Very Friendly bunch) that do great sets down there in the evening times from 6pm...Ben Dunnes gym is up in Kimmage near KCR.....Also a good few swimmers do a great session from 6pm Mon to Thursday...Your more than welcome there also....

Does your college have a pool? In case you haven't checked!

There's also the leisure centre at Sheldon Hotel just off Naas Road (kylemore road). Don't know about prices but I remember a friend joined and was happy with the facilities.

The gym at Hilton Hotel Kilmainham have a pool, but no idea what type.
St John of God's Islandbridge have public access to their pool: http://www.menni.ie/swimmingpool.htm

Also, Google is great (first two results for "swimming pool Dublin"):

    or DCC pools:

They do not have a swimming pool to swim in HIlton Kilmhainam, they have a yacuzzi and a small pool with water at high temperature. There is no chance you can swim there. I went to check it some months ago.
As for the one at the Menni school, the link you provided doesn't work. Some months ago they wrote on their website that they would start admitting adults in April 2012, so I went there but they told me this wouldn't happen until september. I didn't manage to go and check yet, but if any of you has info on this, please let me know because I'm very interested.

    Thanks.
