    Hi All,

I've an interview tomorrow for a full time position in a Meteor store.
I've been advised that while customer service is important, sales is the main area in these stores. I have loads of experience in Customer service but literally none in sales but I really need this job,

Has anyone worked for Meteor in the past??
Can anyone give some advice for the Interview??

    Cheers,
    Sashiee

I worked for them before. In my interview I had to "sell" the area manager a pen. His pen.

Be enthusiastic, friendly and look them in the eyes is all I can say

ok, That should be easy enough, I've watched those midnight american ad's that sell you about anything!

I've worked for them before but it wasin the customer care call centre and the manager knows this and seems quite happy about that.

How did you find working in the shop itself?
Hours seem fine but was the comission pay any good??

    Hope you can help!

used to work for them as a manager so have been on other side of table. cant be certain what pay is like now, but had great time working for them back in the day.

Its 90% sales so thats what you wanna focus on. They use competency based interviewing. if you're not sure what that is, basically you need to back up everything with examples. So they might ask you "a time you went the extra mile for a customer in your last job". Give em a quick story. keep in mind if you say, i was really good at x and y, theyll ask for an example. so in short, just have lots of examples of stuff youve done in past.

most importantly, relax, they really just want a nice outgoing smiley person who can chat, so coming across well is the main thing.

    Best of luck!

Hi, I work for meteor. When I had my interview they asked me why I appleied for the job. I told them I was here to make ALOT of money. They liked to hear that because if your making money it means your hitting your targets and making them money. They seemed very impressed when I said this. The commission you get with meteor is amazing. Up to 250% of your salary on top of your wages. And if I are dedicated this is possible to achieve. As a part timer I regularly come home with more than 2k a month. And in your first month you get 100% comissin payed irelivent of what target you hit. Best of luck and I hope u get the job.
