Does your insurance policy have windscreen cover? It might be worth checking...

I got a stone chip fixed by autoglass for 20 Euro. Not sure how much more competitive you will get

Mmmm. Just checked their website and their prices start at 55.

I got mine fixed in Letterkenny by a guy who sets up a stall in a shopping centre car park. I was full sure it said autoglass on his bunting but it mustn't be. It cost me 20 anyway, so with that in mind there are definately better options than the autoglass 55 Euro.

You can buy a stonechip repair kit for €15 in most autofactors if you feel confident enough to diy. I've done it on many occasions and it turned out fine

Depending on the size of the chip they might work. From my experience of using one of the DIY kits I would save my money and get an individual with the correct tools to do it.

Have a look about supermarkets. Sometimes there's a company has a tent setup on a parking spot who will do it for free. Advertising for them and it does work. I had a small chip once and next day saw this setup, had it fixed in no time and it's been good since. Can't notice it all and it's been 2 years.

Could still have windscreen cover. I have one of the call to the job to do it. Takes a lot less that changing a windscreen.

The proper kits that the likes of Autoglass etc use are in the region of €200/250, hardly worth it to remove one stonechip !!
