Selling a Macbook Air for refurbishment?

    Bought a macbook air off a fella off adverts last week. Being a trusting sort and having good past experience dealing with people on adverts in the past, I just took the box without really scrutinizing the laptop too much.

    dead pixels, scratches on screen, crack on base, no clean OS Lion install and the licence is locked to his account. No communication from him despite a PM. My stupid fault, I am aware, and I'm sure adverts can't do anything about it either. So I want to get rid of it to someplace that sells these things back to Apple. There is a yellow store on Parnell Street that does this, but they don't take airs! :(

    Do I have any options here?

    You're kind of stuck. Buyer beware, so you have no option to go back to the seller. And other than that, if you go to any of these shops, they'll offer you barely anything for it because it needs so much work to get it into a saleable condition.

    It sucks, and it's a lesson for you, but there really isn't much you can do unfortunately...
