Self guided touring-motorbike hire Melbourne

We have some vistors coming shortly from home who want to hire motorbikes and drive the Great Ocean Road over 2/3 days. After Googling found a few places that hire bikes for self guided touring eg Bike Round Oz. My question-anyone ever done this or know of someone who did? Any tips/advice?
