Construction work experience in Miami

    I am currently a student at DIT doing construction management.
    Next year I will need to do a semester of work experience and I am looking to do it in Miami.
    Would anyone know where I should start looking on how to get work experience over there. Should I contact contractors or what should I do?
    Any help would be much appreciated as I don't have a clue where to start!!:D
