400m training

    Have trawled the internet but not much on 400m training.

    Loads on 5k and up but when it comes to the shorter events there seems to be a distinct lack of material...does not even seem to be many decent books on the subject.

    Could anybody give an overview of what a 400 programme would look like for somebody new to the event (say the person could run 400 in 58 seconds but would like to take a few seconds off).

    From here Therunzone.com is a great site with alot of info (sort of like a boards for sprinting) warn you though its very scientific in alot of the theory as such you would want to have a decent knowledge of sports physiology
