Sky €25 pm vs €33

Been with sky a long time and used to have an old package which I think was 23 per month and I had a €2 add on for the discovery channels. Then there was some change (by SKY themselves), my sub seems to have stayed at 25 but amount of channels increased. For instance I get "At the races", Discovery Real Time which I didn't have before.

A friend of mine is now thinking of getting SKY and looks like you don't get very much for 25 anymore. Website is not very clear as to what you get. But, looks like you would have to pay the 33 to get the likes of discovery.

There doesn't seem to be a list of the channels available, just says you get 52 channels extra "like discovery"

Am I missing something?

A few months ago Sky restructured their packages - customers get more channels but monthly sub went up in some cases.

Sky changed from 6 mixes to just 2 in September.Anyone with for example 2 or 3 mixes automatically got all 6 at no extra cost until August 2013.
If you had only one mix then you just got the Style & Culture mix added on.

Sky rebranded their lineup as Entertainment (Variety and Style & Culture) for €25 pm and Entertainment Extra which are all Non Premium Channels for €33 pm.
Anyone joining Sky has just those 2 packs to choose from compared to the 6 they had before.BTW if you change your sub between now and August 2013 you will lose all your 'free' channels so leave what you have as is.
