Hi all , I bought a Gym membership to a gym and since then several different treadmills have been broken and one I was wasnt working properly , on top of that there really isn't a good selection of equipment . They told me I couldnt get a refund because I bought the membership on special offer (if it's relevant I called them on two different occasions before I bought the membership and there special offer was on leading me to believe it's some sort of loophole to avoid refunds)

I want to make it clear that I didnt just get bored and quit

so is it worth bringing to the small claims court ?

Did you view the gym before joining?

Were all the treadmills broken when you were a member, or was there just a shortage of working treadmills?

You might have a tough time winning your case.

Do I have an argument about how there is a shortage of treadmills/equipment in general ?

Not really unles they advertised that a specific number were available and now that number is greatly reduced. If the opportunity to inspect the place existed and if the number of machines was readily ascertainable on such inspection you're not in a great position to demand a refund because there aren't as many machines as you might like there to be.
