A pal of mine has been to australia on a whv for a year and returned home. Things have not been good here (no work) and is going to new zealand on a year whv. Does new zealand have a 3month rural work scheme if you wish to extend your stay in new zealand.

There's somewhat of an answer here
    http://www.dol.govt.nz/immigration/knowledgebase/item/1245
But it's all horticulture/viticulture and only for an extra 3 month.

If you work for the right employer, they should sponsor you if you show commitment and hard work. Have a brother who is doing this currently on south island, just started his 3rd year, ie WHV +2
