Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me with this website. www.sellstuff.ie . I saw some guitar pedals going really cheap, and I dialled the no on my landline, only to hear a recorded message saying that the sellers details would be texted to my phone, as I held my landline handset in my hand wondering how the F*&k they were going to text to my landline. I've e-mailed them, but com'on, I did'nt want to use my work phone (mobile) as there could be questions about 1516 number use. Has anyone had any experience with these people?

It's a premium number see here for landline limits http://www.phonesmart.ie/prs_prices/125 from a mobile it can be a lot more.

Had a look at that site and I wouldn't use it myself. They expect the buyer to pay for the sellers details! Interesting business model but no thanks. If somebody can't be bothered spending €3 for donedeal or whatever they mustn't be too pushed about selling, not to mention the free sites like adverts.ie.

There were a few ads I looked at which had the phone numbers in the text, so they mustn't screen the ads either.

To the OP, looks like if you really want your pedals you'll have to borrow a mobile or use a landline that can text.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

€1.50 to get the seller's number, only to be probably told by him that it's already sold?
I think I'll stick to buying/selling for free on adverts.ie

Thanks Guys. As I said, I wouldn't mind the e1.50 charge, but to find out that the items were sold. Anyways, I far prefer the open forum selling model used in Adverts.ie. I didn't recieve a reply to my e-mail either. Not good business practice. By the way, if anyone knows a guy from Laois selling 3 x behringer pedals, tell him I'm looking for him, with cash...haha. Thanks again ;)
