Hi there a fue months back i was racing on my soctt addict r1 and had a bad crash, cracked the frame

So I set out to get a new bike and decided to get a Lynskey sportive frame and built it up.(great bike)

In that time i got my scott repaired and would like to build it back up aswell.

Now the question is,would it be a bad idea to use the frame in a TT set up would the geometry be way off and would i be just wasting my time,i would plan to use a full aero setup with the proper gear selector and brake conversion????
I would be very greatfull to get some advice thanks:D

You could do it but it won't be as optimal as a TT frame. I have a Litespeed Archon and it works OK with aero bars but I can get a lot lower on my track bike which is basically a TT geometry frame. The front end is much much lower; I have TT bars for it and can get the 90 degree elbows on it.

The Addict will probably feel nicer to ride than a TT frame, and you have it for nothing.

You'll need to shorten it up a bit, maybe move the saddle forward and use a short stem in order to get the pads into a comfortable position, but for short TTs it won't be a problem.

If the frame ever becomes a limitation you can swap it out and keep the rest of the gear. TT components are pricey.

blorg.. have you done any tts on your track frame? I was thinking of setting mine up as a tt bike... get the right gear and you'd have plenty of momentum to push you on... curious..
