Cracked me Sensation's screen. Options?

So my Sensation XE fell the other day and is now cracked. The phone still works fine but it would be nice to have a normal screen.

I was looking at screens on Ebay for about 30 quid that you can fit yourself, looking at the process of fitting on Youtube it seems pretty risky and forceful. Don't think I'll be comfortable letting myself or anyone else do this to my phone(a lad in college said he can fix them).

The phone is only about a month old, is it worth going to do 02 to see if they'll send it to HTC? I'd even consider paying for it, as long as it's not too expensive.

    Video in question.

My wife broke her screen, I watched the video having replaced phone screens before and decided it was too involved, and I got a quote from fone menders or the like for @120 yoyos. In the end cos her crack was a small arc on the left side of the screen I just left it.

Is the LCD or the touchscreen part? i fitted a new one to my dads Galaxy Ace, he was going to throw it out but it cost me 22 euro and took less than 10min to fix, hardest part was separating the touch screen from the LCD and that wasnt hard at all, well worth it just take your time ;)
