WD HDD Not seen by XP

I've added a 1TB WD Green SATA drive to an XP Pro system for extra storage but XP does not see it. It's not visible in My Computer or Disk Management.

It does show in the BIOS

The drive is new and shows up fine in XP if I connect it through a USB external caddy but not when installed in the system.

The system is a RAID 0 config (for OS), could that have anything to do with it? Might there be something in the BIOS that needs adjusting?

Earlier versions of XP didn't come with SATA drivers, so the CD didn't recognise the HDD.

[edit] ignore me, i thought you were trying to install XP !

[edit2] may still be connected with this though
