Have 2 weddings coming up in May and i have it in my head that id like a one shouldered royal/cobalt blue dress. Googling i came up with this one and i love it. Id buy it except its from their maternity range :o...and well im not pregnant! If you watch the video of it, its much nicer than the photo.

Now, i dont have a flat stomach by any stretch of the imagination, but do you think this material just stretches to fit a bump and tighter if no bump?Does that make sense?Id get it but dont want excess material that i dont need around the middle if you know what i mean :)

...or has anyone seen anything similar recently?

It's mostly viscose so I'd say it would be fine, yes. It should cling.

But make sure you can return it if not, and order it sooner rather than later!

Its a gorgeous dress......hard to know though if the room is in the 'stretch' of if there is extra material. I have bought maternity clothing at times and completely got away with it. But yes, order it soon and then you have time to send it back.;)

hi I bought a maternity dress by accident once, the main difference i noticed was that it was that when on a couple of inches longer in the front than the back, it was quite noticeable when i wore it.

In that case you might be able to get it re-hemmed or taken in.

Beautiful dress I love it! I bought a fab maternity dress for a wedding a few years ago, wasn't pregnant just liked it, it fit fine no difference on length. I got loads of compliments on it but only told my closest friends where I got it!

yea it was just a strange fit for me, I considered doing a job on the hemming but I wasn't arsed as I'd bought it in the sales without noticing it was maternity. it was just a weird fit. the front fell just above the knee but the back was mid thigh. the front had a lot of gathering under the bust line which gave a lot of fullness to it and made my tummy look bigger, but obviously it had been designed to give space for a bump. it was a lovely dress, but I defo wouldnt buy a maternity one again (well, knowing it was a maternity one! :) )
