    Hi Folks,
Any Steiff lovers who might know of the 1908 limited edition teddy bear for the English market?

It was unique in several ways, the amber glass eyes requested by the British, being a major one. Black shoe button eyes were the main stay at the time; the glass eyes were not introduced world wide for some twelve years. What is unique about these amber glass eyes is that they "sparkled".

The broad face and wide set ears, the inset snout were also unique, as a pointy face with cone noses were the trend.

This teddy also has the pronounced proportions of a very young cub.

Would love to hear from you!!
