    Hi All,

Just back from the Nct and it failed miserabley on the emissions. These are the following readings-

    Engine/Oil Temp= 81c

    Low Idle= CO 2.22% above .3% FAIL
    (700Rpm) HC 699ppm above 0 ppm FAIL

High Idle Lambada 0.86 not between .97 and 1.03 Fail
    (3,020rpm) CO4.37% above .2% Fail
    HC 673 ppm above 200ppm

As can seen these are sky readings, any ideas as to the cause of these???? And what expense can be expected...:(

    Thanks in advance folks....

    Did you use some diptane?
Did you give it a good drive before the test to ensure the cat was hot.

Run dipetane through the juice,my 04 avensis 1.6 went through the nct yesterday and passed with flying colours despite main dealer telling me my cat was gone.My emission results:Low idle 760rpm CO 0.00% HC 16ppm High idle Lambda 1.00 CO 0.01% HC 24ppm,had used dipetane for about 2 weeks beforehand.

cant see diptane doing anything here

could be lambda or cat or both

could be an ignition issue or ecu issue. get a diagnostic done ideally in a ford garage. cuts out all the messing

    imo
