Hi I'm wondering if anyone knows if this company is still trading. I bought a car from them 2 years ago and never received a manual/ service history book with the car, They said they would contact me at a later date. Now its two years later and I forgot all about it, I only thought about it when the recent case on the news about a dealer being brought to court over clocking the mileage on the car. I bought my car for 10k (an 07 Opel Astra) for 10k two years ago with 27,000km mileage. Because it has no service history I am worried that the mileage might have been tampered with, of course it might not have been but I would like to find out. I can find no information on the company as the phone numbers I have tried are not in service. Is there anything I can do with regards to finding out the service history of my car? Also can you sell a car on without this?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you been servicing it for 2 years? Surely you would have recalled at that point?

Anyway, I digress. I am 90% sure they are still trading (in one form or another). If you're worried about it being clocked, maybe bring it to an opel dealer (or good indy mechanic), ask him to plug it into their diagnostic tool and check the genuine milage on the ECU

Feckin hope they are still trading - they've just bought a load of cars off us.

Moved from the Square to cheaper premises.

You sure you're talking about the same company? Little yard on the Old Bawn road where redline used to be. They're there about three / four years now.

Used to be the guys at the Square in the Triangular showroom. Same logo on the new website as there used to be across the old showroom.

No stock on Carzone and most dealers that don't have a Cars Ireland website instead (they don't). No stock anywhere that I can see and no phone numbers working. Quite possible they 'did a Ballymount' on it and changed their name though! :pac:

The website listed in the link above isn't working, but the 5 cars he bought on Wednesday have already gone from the garage, so they must be going somewhere

They have stopped retailing cars as far as I know. Mostly just buying cars trade now (from the likes of ROR) and supplying other second hand dealers at smaller margins on more turnover.

A bit late now for doing mileage checks but you can buy a motorcheck.ie or cartell.ie online report.

I've had it serviced in an opel dealership, it was dropped it in while I was on holidays so I honestly never remembered about the manual and service history, they never mentioned anything about the mileage when I collected it. Its due for its first nct too so I was a bit worried bringing it just in-case. Then when I couldn't find any recent contact details I got a bit worried.

I got the car at a great price and its never given me any trouble apart from minor issues. Its fully paid off so I would like to have the manual and full service history if I choose to sell it on. From this post I've received word that the dealers are reputable so that's put my mind at ease, fingers crossed I can chase up the service history. Thanks for the replies.
