    Guys,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you - another crazy day...

OK I have two Pioneer / Boston AV systems on offer based around two Pioneer AV Receivers and the most popular 5.1 speaker system around at the moment - the Boston Soundware XS 5.1 SE (The new version)

    System 1

    Pioneer VSX421 - Av Receiver
With 5 x 130 watts of amplification (into 6 Ohms), HDMI v1.4 connectivity with 3D and 1080p video pass-through, component and composite video inputs, optical and coaxial digital audio inputs and 5.1 channel analogue input, the VSX421 really packs in the features. In addition there's also a front audio in socket for connection of iPods or portable MP3 players and an FM/AM tuner with RDS.

Excellent functionality for the money and a name-brand design too, the VSX 421 is perfect if you're looking to build a home cinema system that doesn't cost a fortune.

    Pioneer BDP140
    - Blu-Ray DVD - 3D ready / The BDP-140 combines 3D playback with advanced networking features, superior audio performance, control with iPod/iPhone/iPad, Quick Response and support for SACD - The BDP-140 will upconvert Standard DVD video to near HD-quality. From CD, USB and through LAN you can play popular compressed media formats such as MP3 and DivX Plus HD. Enhance your experience with access to network features such as BD-Live, watching YouTube, and playback from a PC or network media server (connected to the same LAN and featuring multimedia content server functionality).

    Optional WiFi converter available.

You can also control the player with the Pioneer iControlAV2 app

Finally add in the famous BOSTONS

Not much I can add to what all the reviewers say about these speakers - they won a What Hi-Fi 5 Star award when reviewed at £350 and when added to the Pioneer kit they really sing - they are available in either Piano Black or White - One of the main appeals with the Soundware XS has been the stylish and flexible satellite speakers. Now finished in deep gloss they look more impressive than ever. As before, their asymmetrical shape makes it possible to neatly mount them in a corner, against a flat wall or on a shelf. Further improvements have been made with the satellites now having rear panel wire grooves for even neater installation. What's more, the articulating wall bracket now features a stylish cover and there's a corner mount also included. As a whole, then, mounting the Soundware XS satellites gives you a smoother, more professional look than before.

Although they look considerably better, the top quality sound hasn't changed. Despite their tiny size, the XS speakers use 2-way drivers to deliver a bright, detailed sound with powerful and natural sounding vocals. Mount them discreetly around your room and it's easy to achieve a "room of sound" without there being any speakers obviously visible.

Backing up this detailed and spacious sound is a powerful bass response. The 8 inch, vented sub bass unit is matched up to a 100 watt amplifier for effortless control of the lower frequencies.

Add the retails up on this system and it'll top £700 - even at the Sale pricing it's £570 - I'm doing a Boardie special at just £449.95 for the Receiver / Blu-Ray and 5.1 Speaker system...

    System 2

If you wanted to go for the VSX521 receiver instead which adds on lots of features we can arrange that as well for just an extra £30..so with the VSX521 / BDP140 / Boston 5.1 SE system you get what was over £800 at RRP retail for just £479.95

The key to the new VSX521's appeal is in its flexible HDMI sockets. Not only is there now an extra HDMI input, taking the total to four, but the sockets now also allow for 3D transmission and ARC. ARC (Audio Return Channel) cuts down on the cabling required as a single HDMI connection between your TV and AV receiver carries both the video image to the TV and the TV's audio back to the receiver. As before, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD and Pro Logic IIz decoders are all provided to get the best from DVD and TV sources. Added to this you'll find nine surround modes plus one designed specifically for stereo music. New to the VSX521 is "phones surround sound" effect designed to give a cinema feel when wearing headphones. For optimum quality, the discrete amplifier and Texas Instruments Aureus DSP (Digital Signal Processor) provides excellent sound quality from this highly respected audio brand.
Going further still, the VSX521 also comes with the optional extra of Bluetooth streaming capability and sound enhancement. When fitted with the optional AS-BT200 adaptor you can connect up your laptop, phone or other Bluetooth device and stream your music across. The Sound Retriever AIR restores sound quality after transmission, making it sound much better than similar wireless transmission systems.

In terms of sockets, the Pioneer VSX521 has everything you need for a comprehensive home cinema system. Four HDMI sockets let you loop through HD sources and are particularly useful if your TV has only one HDMI input. In addition to these, the VSX521 now comes with a front-mounted mini jack that's perfect for connecting your portable MP3/iPod or other device. Added to this you'll find a wide collection of component, composite and digital connections.

Although not quite as feature packed as more expensive Pioneer AV receivers, the style is every bit a match for the pricier, gloss black models. It's also just as easy to set-up. Thanks to MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic calibration System), you can get fine-tuned system tuning at the touch of a button. Created in conjunction with the professional sound engineers at AIR studios in London, MCACC is unique to Pioneer AV receivers and one of the best of its type.

We have lots of stock available and resdy to ship - so if you want a quality Av system with well reviewed product from leading Branded manufacturers just drop us a post / PM/ or email us at sales@richersounds.ie and we will get you sorted..

Thanks and as ever keep us posted if we can assist in any way,

    ATVB,

    John Mc & Crew
