Question for the van men out there.Gonna be spending about 2000 euro on a van this summer. Which is the best van to go for. Thinking along the lines of a LWB 2002 transporter or a hiace maybe. Which is the best value for money, cheapest to run, most reliable etc. Any opinions? (what does D4D mean on a hiace?)

D-4D is Toyota's common rail diesel engine. The pre D-4D Hiace was better on fuel and more robust. But both vans are good workhorses and well capable of high mileage but it really depends on how they were treated over the years.

Were they not using XUD's then?
