    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to attach my monitor to my TV but when I do it all that is displayed is my desktop background and nothing else. No icons, no mouse pointer etc. Anyone have any idea what to do?

    Cheers!

Have you checked the position of the virtual monitors? They can be in different positions compared to how they're placed irl. In W7, right click your desktop and click "Screen resolution". Also, if you hit Win+X (Windows Mobility Center), you can configure the external display, click the "Connect Display" button. You can choose from Duplicate, Extend or Projector only.

There shouldn't be a taskbar or icons if you're using your TV to extend your display afaik.
