    Oh dear, that was a bit of a backwards step wasn't it. Cutbacks I suppose.

    No, it's to ensure that there's still a site to search. The old search was a huge drain on resources and could have caused the site to crash, so it needed to be replaced with something more efficient from an IT perspective.

    Oh, I actually was reading that about the old search but didn't realise this was part of it.
    Do you know when we'll be able to search threads again?
