I want to go for a game in the Cork area this week.
any 'heads up' on green fees
    week/ weekend rates.

This might be a useful thread for golfers like me that are
    shaking off the winter cob-webs!!

Any posts on good green fees rates for all the provinces
might prove useful for other readers:rolleyes:

I'm a member in Druids Heath... Played the Glen yesterday... In fantastic nick - greens are superb. (one small note: The 7th and thirteenth fairways are having new drainage put in. It just means you tee off as normal but you tee up your second on the fairway on these two holes!!)

The Heath is also in great nick.... Most visitors have issues with two things on the Heath
    1. It's length - When most people arrive on the first tee they automatically head for the white tees - DON'T!! - We play most of our rounds off the greens and only use the whites for Medals, scratch comps etc. - Trust me the course is plenty long off the greens especially if the the wind is blowing more than 10kmph!!
    2. The greens - They have major undulations, breaks and different tiers, on some. Also they are lightening fast even for this time of year. You have been warned :D

Druid's Glen. The only Irish course left on my Absolutely Must Play list. Attended every round of all the Irish Opens played there. Going to play it this year.

You've whetted my appetite, MiniGolf. Thanks.

Played Palmer course at the K-Club today. €60 until end of Feb.
Course is in great nick, although greens aren't particularly fast.

Playing there tomorrow, so great to hear it's in good nick. Haven't been there in a while.

Played Palmerstown House yesterday. Was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed the layout and the course is in good nick. Slightly rough around the edges in terms of general appearance in places but otherwise really good. Greens were in good shape and rolling out nicely. Good value for €35. Place was quiet though. Not too many cars floating about.

Headfort have a €20 either-course any-time deal for Feb. New course is excellent. Played it around this time last year and even with two temps in play it was still definitely worth the trip. Not sure on course condition at the moment.
