Karcher Pressure Washers (complete with patio cleaner and detergent) are reduced from 139 euro down to 75 euro in Hoomebase,Gullivers Retail Park in Santry.

As far as I know, its the 1400 watt Karcher model.

All the boxes are open, but have the correct parts in them.

75 euro for a Karcher, isnt too bad me thinks.

About 4 or 5 of them left this evening, just beside the Customer Service Desk.

    Regards.:)

I'm thinking of getting one of these, but I hear the parts can be flimsy and easily broken...anyone recommend?

They are like everything; if poorly handled, they are at risk. Personally, never had an issue with karcher. Good build quality and reliable. They are a long time in the market - a good price too from the OP.

Lots a flimsy plastic at this price point, mines had very light duty its losing pressure now. Brothers had something break on his and then another part exploded after last winter when it froze so make sure you empty it before storing. at this price point you can't expect much. My dad has a bosch one with lower power rating about half the size thats *much* better. You get what you pay for. I you paid another €50 you could get a more powerful nilfisk or bosch on amazon. If the patio cleaner is important to you the nilfsk one is supposed to be junk so best avoided.

The only decent Karcher equipment is the high-end stuff for use in garages etc. The power-washers for the domestic market are absolute rubbish, and there are no end of bad reports when you have a bit of a Google.

I had one that cost €240 and it was crap, so I went back to using one that I bought from Woodies for €30 odd, and people would be well advised to pick up one of these "pod-shaped" cheap ones instead of forking out €75 for instant grief.

There are pretty bad reviews on Amazon also.

The nilfisk ones get better reviews by far - apparently they have aluminium pumps, whereas karcher pumps are plastic.

    See here

Also - amazon ship for free to Ireland on orders over 25

...and if you do get a Karcher and it kills itself, you can probably still use the Karcher hose and relevant attachments with the cheaper brands, so any Karcher accessories bought at great expense won't be wasted. You just have to make certain that the connector on the machine has the same thread. The Power Devil one that I bought did have, fortunately.
