Clubs generally don't run introductory course during the winter or spring as there is no demand for them. Courses are usually run from about April to August.

During the summer Galway Kayak Club (http://www.galwaykayakclub.com/) and Corrib Canoe run courses (http://corribcanoe.com/). The GKC course price also includes membership and as a result you get more opportunities to continue kayaking once the course has completed.

Oh and it is a whole lot of fun! :)
