Lost Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation on USB

This is going to be a long shot, but basically spent all day yesterday working on a case study presentation and saved it on a USB key and nothing else (so its not saved on the laptop)

Was saving a different powerpoint presentation today but saved it over the case study presentation from yesterday (Our own stupidity saving it over the wrong file)! So the case study that we spent hours doing yesterday is now gone, when it opens up it is on the presentation we worked on today!

I know its 99% gone, but is there anyway of getting it back from the USB key even if its been saved over?

Would appreciate any help on this!

Recuva or PhotoREC, if it is a large usb key there is a very slim chance you may be able recover it, but as you saved over the original some original data was probably overwritten, but try recovering
