Its a Ridley Eos 1008b.. and that is all I can tell you as I am a complete newbie!!

Went out on a 5-6 mile spin last night...and oooooooo my bum is so sore!!!

Well wear. Cut the slack on the toe straps in case they get caught in something.

Just for future reference, it should be facing the other way for the photo opportunity. ;)

    Lovely bike, enjoy.

    Nice bike, enjoy!

If you raise the saddle it'll mean you arms can take/share some of the weight.
I think the rule of thumb is to have just a small bend in the knee when the peddle is fully down, i.e. the 6 o'clock position.

Masala, lovely bike, best of luck with it and enjoy letting the bug take a hold if every vital organ in your body.

Now some things regarding the photo. Always facing the other way, we want to see the groupset. Also as has been said, on the big ring as well. Makes it look hardcore and that you would have powered to a stop. Always use KM. You're not embracing euro until you're using KM. Miles are from the 70's! Don't worry about the arse, that will toughen up as the distance goes up, just get yourself a nice pair of shorts with good padding.

As has been said cut the slack on the top straps as that will get caught in something and that saddle needs a height change. Up up up n away!

You used to be able to buy little tags that went on the end of the toe straps.

Toe-Strap pulls I think they were called...

    Anybody?

Dubba..... the saddle has been adjusted to my leg length to ensure that I never end up on a 'straight leg' when peddling. Also - I can tip the ground with this saddle height!!

I agree it does look look 'low'.... but I'm more of a 'Messi' build that 'Dzeko' build to use soccer parlance!

Saddle too low = busted knees.
Saddle too high = busted everything else.

Never mind the looks, go with whatever feels right!

Maybe the issue is that the bars are too high as opposed to the saddle being too low!!

Flip the stem over and remove some of the spacers below it :)

and/or ride 100% of the time in the drops, this will take some weight of you rear, make you faster and looks super pro :pac:

But yea, ride it what ever way feels comfortable and you can adjust things in time if needs be.
