    hiya folks,
I'm thinking I should get round to replacing my 25+yo single panel rads in the next few months.
I have a new(1yo) gas boiler and had the system powerflushed when this was installed.
Now I'm thinking its time to upgrade the rads to twin panels or is there a better performing alternative?
I want to get maximum performance while keeping my running costs low.
Any suggestions on the best rads and TRVs for this will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by maximum performance? Do your rooms take an excessive time to reach temperature? Unless you have difficulty heating particular rooms you should not need to increase the radiator output by much, maybe 25% if your new boiler is a condensing boiler and runs a lower return temperature than previously. TRVs can be fitted to any radiators. Go for branded ones like Danfoss Pegler or Myson.

Some radiators are advertised as high efficiency but really only means they have low water volume so heat up a bit quicker. It's kind of meaningless to discuss radiators in terms of efficiency, generally heat in = heat out.
