I see Rafael Cabrera-Bello is -9 through 12, he could shoot some round if he keeps it going, few other players shooting around 5 and 6 under. McIlroy should be able to shoot low if he is on form later!

You could say the same about any player.

Sometimes this forum makes me pull my hair out but I keep coming back. Need my golf fix.

Cabrera finished -9. Finished with 7 boring pars

Dubai Dessert Classic? Does it come with ice-cream?

Trying to follow the scores online. McIlroy after turning his card around nicely, was +1 but 3 birdies in a row has him up to -2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

now 5 in six holes, moves to -4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,317 ✭✭✭big_drive

-7 for his final 10 holes. Nice shooting!

Some turn around there from McIlroy, hopefully now he can turn his good form into a win.

Lowry at 4 under, keep it going for the first pay day of 2012 hopefully

Bogey free day for McIlory, a 65 has him top of the leaderboard at -13.

Close behind (-11)is Kaymer after a hole-in-one at the 7th.

Looking like an interesting weekend of golf ahead
Nice to see Kaymer making a return to form
    Rors playing nicely again

Was sitting at the back of the 7th green for that! Was my first time ever seeing a hole in one, made my day :D

More surprisingly was reading in the local paper this morning that it was Kaymers first hole in one ever:eek: not just in competition but ever!

He'll be lucky to escape with a DB on the 7th now.

A lot of players close at the top now including old Westwood Can Rory break free?

Bjorn will be hard to beat. One of the most solid players on the tour. Mcilroy is capable of magic though and my suspicion is that it may come tomorrow rather than today.

There should be plenty listed on wiziwig.tv
    Sky Sports 1.

McIlroy has dropped another on the par 5 10th.
    He looks bored.

Has Rory some deepdown aversion to winning or what? He's the only player in the top 34 over par today!!!

It's not stretching reality to say he could have won 15 times in his career already, given the vast number of times he's been in contention. If he doesn't develop a killer instinct anytime soon, he won't win 15 times in his whole career, which would be a terrible reflection on his ability.

Edit: Typical Rory to hole a monster on the next hole. Can't see him winning however.

McI just sank a blinder - I would rather have that gift than to walk on water

He doesn't like Saturdays. Lets hope he rips it up tomorrow.
What's good to see is that his putting is hugely improved on last year.

Yes, I certainly think the putting has improved this year. He's an excellent long putter, it's the 10-15ft putts he has a problem with. I think his stroke is just fine, he has a lot of trouble reading them as far as I can see.

    Lets go Kaymer.

Win it for the good guys.

Westwood playing well now, -5 for the day. Rory should get a birdie on 13 to move up to 3rd place.

Cabrera-Bello triumphs in the Dubai desert classic, one ahead of Westwood and Gallagher.

    McIlory T5 after a 71.

Westwood comes up 1 shy again. Further proof that he can't putt.

It was a poor chip that he played for his 3rd.

Very poor from Westwood. That tournament was there for the taking for him.

I can't believe how he messed up the 18th with that 3rd shot. Very poor from someone of his standard.
