Try the local FO first. And if you can the station issued the license not a small village/town station, they will only send it on to the main station and that takes the time.

How many was on your last license?? As that was the license that got substituted for the one you now have.

Tell them that the competitions take 150, 102, 30, and 24 round to complete, and you may do that on both days at a competition. Plus practice, practice, and more practice.

I just got the 100 on the two of my licences, Its only the Superintendent that signed off on the licence that can change the rounds, and was told mine only ever gives 100 on first licences.

FO told me to hold off a few weeks and send in a letter why i need more and it could help get a higher limit. As it happens my Super got promoted to Chief of another area 2 days ago :D

When I put in my licences I went in and before putting down the amount I explained to the FO why I wanted the said amount. I was then advised to put a covering letter together with the application. Covering the main points such as suppressor, why etc ammo. No problem at all after that

A reasonable amount shouldn't be an issue.
