Sky atlantic and HBO shows.

    why have sky got the rights to show hbo shows in Ireland?? I remember when hbo shows like the sopranos were shown on rte.. surely rte can show hbo shows that have been already shown on sky atlantic, I ****ing hate sky and that murdoch ****er.. hopefully he loses the premier league football righs next year, then his sky packages will colllapse..

    Simple answer money. Sky bought the uk and Ireland rights to all hbo shows for the next few years. They then use it as a marketing tool and point of difference against other pay tv providers

    You don't have to have sky to avail of those HBO shows. There are other ways ;)
