If I have a program set to record on my Sky HD box and say the set top box is turned off I get a unrecorded programm in the planner but I don't get the option to delete it.
We turn off the TV and Sky HD box each night so this has happened a lot.

So now I have a heap of unrecorded shows in my planner that I can't delete what can I do to get rid of these???

what happens when you highlight them and press the yellow button?

if you want to record something just leave the sky box plugged in on standby.

There's no yellow button option. That will only show 'Delete' when a 'real' programm is recorded.

I want to delete Yellow Stone, Sgt Mattie etc

The Tv and Sky box is on the same socket so it gets turned off each night. And thats the way it is.

You have multiple episodes of each show recorded.

Press select when one of the programmes is highlighted. That will show you the different episodes and you can then delete them.

Don't unplug the HD box at night,it will go into low power mode itself but will still record stuff for you.;)

Bit pointless setting it to record something that may be on late and then plugging the box out.I know somebody who used to that and then complained that her shows weren't recording.
