Funnier than the Guard... well the first series was. What do you think?

Good luck with this thread. Despite being considered Irelands best TV station by a country mile, no one fucking watches it.

The Guard was a steaming pile of shite.

Stilted dialogue, amateur editing, piss poor photography and a terrible script.

The only thing it had going for it was Brendan Gleeson & even he wasn't enough to drag that awful film out of the bottom of the bucket it should have been left in.

I thought it was good, enjoyable, I'm sure there will be a second one.

Rasai na Gaillimhe was good also.

Ah yeah, each to their own and all that. :) It just didn't work for me.

Haven't seen Rasai na Gaillimhe, so I can't comment on that.

All the good characters from the last series are gone! Where are the Da Barras Brothers? They were a hoot.

TG4 the best station on this island. Some seriously, seriously hot women on screen, Rasai na Gaillimhe, Ros na Run, Seacht.

Even now the folks are watching some country music sh1te but the young 1 presenting is unreal

I watch TG4 now and then, makes me feel like I'm using the 14 years of Irish I learned* :P

I love how they just throw in random English words all the time though. "Níl mé angry dhuit!" "Céard? Like, oh my God, tá sé seo uafásach!" etc.

My favourite was from Rásaí na Gaillimhe though: "Céard sa fuck é sin?!" :P

    *Subtitles? What subtitles? *cough*

Have to say, ive been watching rasai na gaillimhe this last few weeks...even sky +ing it.! And i found it a great laugh. I normally wouldnt give an irish programme a second glance but it is really well made with some laughable storylines. Judging bg tonites outakes id say they had a great laugh filming it..
    Roll on another series...!

They have the best looking women alright. Fresh and spankable.
