so i have found a job abroad and I and my wife are about to leave Ireland :(
Since we have both a job here, we had to quit and we are going to get our P45 soon.
First of all I have claimed all the health expensed of the last 4 years, nothing major but the result I got from the revenue is that I have underpaid almost 900 in taxes! how this is possible as I don't own a house or any other income!?

Anyway should I go to the revenue office to get my situation re-checked after I get my P45? is there any chance I can get any refund for some overpayment i did in the first 2 months of the year? should I tell I'm about to emigrate?

    please advise

The P21 balancing statements you received for the last 4 years will show you where the underpayment came from. Check the statements to see if you agree that all is order. If you apply for a refund of tax paid in 2012 using your P45 and a completed form P50, then any overpayment of tax for this year will be put against the 900 euro you owe.
