I have a canon ixus 210 camera and 2 days ago it just stopped being recoginised by my computer. I mean nothing, its not visible in disk management even. Tried using a data recovery program to see if it would find the device but no.

The camera has not being damaged in any way. I have tried other usb cables, i have tried mulitple pc/laptops with varying operating systems and still zip.

I have an external card reader so testing the memory card has shown its working 100% (not that if the memory card was defective should it stop the computer recognising the device....)

The camera operates perfectly aside of this issue! Any ideas...???

Check the camera's menu to make sure it's a mass storage device.
Have you tried another computer or booted into another OS?
